Our Myth, Identity, Historic Era
Liberty has a Country one hears
Pro/Anti-slavery, debates of 1858
Then strange & portentous events
Frederick Douglass out of bondage
Conscience of the US Constitution
Believed in Fact, others merely voiced
Not a parchment, Freedom's Command
Ideal for a People who fulfill Themselves
