I crave the warmth of another
To feel their hands cupping my cheeks, our eyes bearing into each others’
The true feeling of love, a desire that’s no longer just a want

It’s a dream I fear so much
If I ever let another person in, how will they view me?
What will they think of me? My body?
My legs, my hair, my teeth, my chest
How will they view my dreams?
Childish, too depressing, a delusion
What if I have nothing prepared for the future?
Will they still stay with me although my ambitions are none

Could I stay with them?
Am I the person others fantasize about?
Would I stay with others in their time of need, anxiety, depression
The lowest of the lows?
Will I embrace them when they need it
Will I love them even in their most embarrassing moments?

Is there anyone out there who can be my universe?
Will I be theirs?
