Can’t remember whose name I croon when I cry,
Mumbling a mixture of half-truth incantations.
I’m not even sure which demons I’m summoning.
The flowers sang like they were supposed to,
The water in my chalice, charged by the full May moon,
But my wand won’t work against lovers like you.
