Darkness

As I face these demons inside
My heart wanders to the deep
The reminiscence of the happiness fade
The darkness takes control
Nowhere to go only to fold
Enduring the pain is said to make you strong
But why does it bring me to my knees
All I have left is to beg and plea
Forgive me for who I’ve become
Let me see the light
Give me a chance
Even just glance
To find my way through this hell
Darkness gets deeper
The shrouds are blinding
Clouds keep falling
Someone save me
My hand is extended
Waiting for your touch
But there’s no one
No one to clutch
I’m falling deeper to the darkness
Only myself to blame
It all fades with my happiness in shame

About this poem

I was going through stresses and was struggling to overcome them. I was to headstrong to ask for any help to only dig myself deeper into the darkness.
