Dark Sky

                  Dark Sky

Sitting near the shoreline watching the
half-moon dancing in the cloudy sky

Feeling the salty wind blow through my hair.

Next to me, my forever love, smiling
as he listens to the rolling waves

In the cascading water, boats floating
in the breeze, the mysterious wonder of
their destination.

The lights in the dark sky
Planes soaring in the night

The deep universe with their powers
mystifying the urge to fly freely towards
the endless sky

Chills running through my veins so
deep it fills my body with excitement

Relaxing the body to hold onto the joyful
memories of today and hope they will still
be there tomorrow
