Masterful are we at availing our sadness when it comes.
Mindful are we at making sure all things are ‘becoming’, because
Becoming a mindless woman is simple!
Mind you–
Our path is fun and life is so simple and mindless,
And sadness, what’s that? It’s a sin. I believe
I am not supposed to feel a thing.
As a mindless being,
As a mindful being?
I’m sorry for having a uterus.
I’m sorry for having to seem
Un----rested!!!

About this poem
My husband and I had to make a decision years ago in order to save my life. As a human and a WOMAN, I'm telling you - it's haunting that male politicians think that they can make a decision about a female's uterus and well-being in terms of reproduction.
