Time flies from when we were a kid,
Looking back at all the dumb things we did.
From the times of sneaking out,
To the fights where we scream and shout.

Many times we let our emotions show,
But it is killing me to let you go!
But I think of the years of the past
And those memories will forever last

The days of staying up til dawn,
Those days are long gone.
You are leaving us to become a star,
You may leave but you won’t be far.

Go rest now with the rest of the family,
Finally wear your smile proudly.
My heart breaks as I wrote this,
Remember, you are loved and will be missed.

It’s never fun to say goodbye
But now you can spread your wings and fly,
We will meet in the heavens above,
Just look down and give us love.
