Freeze the Moment
I was shot. I wonder who it was. I'm on my knees for the moment, soaked in blood. Why is all I hear these two men yelling at each other? I wish someone could take me to a doctor. There's an ambulance coming now. Who knows if it will get here in time. They are yelling about tragedy and how now isn't the time to talk about helping. I think I'm going to lay down now and wait until they're done. The ground is hard and cold, but I think I've been here before. It feels like home. My vision is kind of blurry now, I'm not sure I'm ready to die. These men in suits are still yelling at each other but their voices are beginning to fade. I think someone is taking my shoes off right now. I hope they fit, the have been very small on me for a while now. In a way this kind of feels good, my breathe is steady, and the blurred vision shields me from seeing my wounds. Even my hearing is almost gone. I can't hear the men anymore. But I see them yelling next to someone else. I feel grateful they are yelling over there now, i feel bad its next to that person but at least its not me. I guess that makes me a bad person. I can't hear the sirens anymore either. I really dont care if they come to be honest. I don't think I want it anymore. I'm kind of tired of doing this every week. I hope someone puts those shoes to good use.
