Mother Earth is Dying

Wu Lang 1984 (Kolambugan, Lanao Del Norte.)

Mother Earth looks older day after day,
Her green hair is balding and has turned to gray.
She can acquire a disease so easily,
Because her resistance is getting weaker each day,
Plus those people who were like the cancer of society.

Because of too much heat of the sun,
Mother Earth skin acquired more than sunburn.
Because of toxic chemicals and smog she can't avoid to inhale,
And the solid waste and harmful substances we used to dump in the river or sea.
She often drunk a contaminated water,
The Doctors said there’s nothing they can do to cure her,
And she's going to leave us sooner or later.

 Mother Earth is so sick...
What are we going to do in order to help?
I am one of the reasons of her sickness.
I'm slowly killing her, my Lord God forgive me please...
I'm ready to face what-so-ever the payback.
When Mother Earth will get revenge in these lists of facts.

About this poem

This poem is about Mother Earth, we don't reciprocate all the things she done for us. We only take her for granted.
