When the clouds arrive

When the clouds arrive, the noises start to come.
The rumbling starts overhead, as if it was a drum.
Flashes of light are burning bright.
Zig- zagging down at half the speed of light.
The speed of sound, that's how the noise will come.
Going outside is not very welcome.
Thunderstorms can come at day or night.
The clouds, that's where it's from.
When the clouds arrive,
They bring with them a low hum.
The liquid raining down, that's where it's from.
Thunderstorms might give you a fright.
And they bring with them a lot of might.
They'll even cause trouble for someone waiting for a flight.
