"Nighttime Read"

At night time, I read my books.
Enthralled, pulled by the story with imaginary hooks.
Night is when I begin my activity.
The stories holding me in captivity.
I can hardly resist the urge to spare a few looks,
The authors steal my attention as if they were crooks,
At night time.
I imagine these authors as more of literary cooks.
And they most certainly don't follow the textbooks!
I can truly feel all of the creativity!
Such profound expressivity!
All these ideas fill up my notebooks.
At night time.
