A Broken World

The World is tortured and broken
Hardened clay without a token
Here I lay within me a light
A happy day that’s very bright

I walk outside a showering storm
Everybody’s inside torn
The cries I haven’t given him
Makes him go beyond the limb

He says he’s lying for our lives
But deep inside I know he Thrives
The cries from people are his feast
And yet he treats us like we’re beasts

He aims for me our leader does
His hunger does become abuzz
My unbroken soul a happy light
In which he knows that he can not fight

He tries to fight but can not win
There are no tears that lay within
Because of his empty heart and soul
He loses the fight and gives back what he stole

The people are happy now and bright
All because that little fight
Now this place is bright and pearled
Instead of being a broken world
