At your darkest

I’ve loved you at your darkest
I’ve loved you at your brightest
Through thick and thin
Through everything.
I wanted to always be there for you
To be your strength
to be your logic
to be your person.

And through all the dark I stood by you
No matter how you pushed me away
Now we’re somewhere else
I have to stop looking out for only you
And remember that I’m important too
I’ve lost myself in your darkest
I’ve found my darkest
I need to find my brightest again
As do you
I need to find myself again
as do you.

You used to be my brightest
You used to be my strength
You used to be my logic
You used to be my person
I’m sorry I couldn’t be yours
I’m sorry you hate me in your darkest
Through it all I still can’t hate you.

I’ll cherish the times we had
All of the good
All of the bad
I won’t ever not care for you
I won’t ever stop loving you.
