I Lay Here

As I lay here in a darkened room
I can smell the scent of her perfume
I can hear her voice echo in my head
Quickly I roll over, an empty bed
I’m so tired I can’t even sleep
And in my mind her eyes do creep
She has eyes that can cut you in two
But that are so full of life they make you feel new
Lips that are as full as her heart
And a smile that can make the seas part
An Angel she is none the less
Now let me dream of her and get some rest
For when I awake she won’t be there
And the dreams of her vanished in  early morning air
But I know I’ll see you tonight
When my heads is at rest and my dreams take flight
