The Cheesecake Factory

the cheesecake factory

i once met a lady
who once started to tell me
about her favorite place called the cheesecake factory

she once felt quite uneasy
when she once started to tell me
about her anxieties from the past buss(t)ers chastity

we once felt quite shaky
dropping our envy and dangerous self pity
with our favorite new place called the cheesecake factory

if we all think about it rationally
then it would only make sense to plea
and start anew drastically

my therapist glared blankly
dropping his pen and wet notepad
with his favorite new diagnosis called for fucks sake life can’t be that shitty

Afterall, there’s always your lady at the cheesecake factory.

About this poem

I write poems to help manage my emotions. This poem was about a girl i was talking to who said she couldn’t continue our relationship because of past trauma and other personal issues. She had a very hard life but I thought she was so sweet, so I wrote this poem about what was our favorite place to eat at, and was also a major building block for our relationship.
