Lost Love

Tears fall from my eyes as my heart breaks more and more with each memory of how we use to be,
I try to hide this unbearable pain but am finding it harder and harder day by day,
I tell you that I'm fine but deep inside I'm dying more and more with each tear drop that fall,
How do I get past this pain when all I see when I look at you is who and how we once were?
How can you not see the pain in my eyes?
Am I truly hiding it that well or do you just not care enough about me to see the pain staring straight into your eyes?

About this poem

This poem is about a man I once loved more than he loved me, and I couldn't seem to let go of for a very long time.
