Lonely
Lonesome in the midst of a crowd
I can hear my own thoughts out loud.
People around me talking to me
And yet I'm so lost as can be.
I hear what everyone is saying,
But nobody knows what I'm thinking.
I cannot breathe, I cannot rise
Everyone is having a time so nice.
I feel stuck in the midst unable to move,
But I can feel the air aloof.
What is this I'm feeling,
And why is nobody noticing?
Deep in thought, I'm lost on my own
Because I'm lonely and nobody knows.
Lonesome in the midst of everyone,
Such a feeling so silent yet so strong!
About this poem
Deep in thought! I'm surrounded by people everyday but I'm alone in my own thoughts!
