Letter to myself
LETTER TO MYSELF
You should just unwind
I know that I’ll remind
Like the sweet winter mist
Bracelet hanging on your wrist
Softly forever shall I kiss
I know, that one you’ll surely miss
Don’t ever wait to hear my voice
This was not at all my choice
My life was never that simple
Unlike my left cheek dimple
Huge responsibilities I had
Eventually driving me mad
Heart beating for my five
Definitely whilst still alive
Warm wind through curly hair
On an antique rocking chair
Wanting you stress less
Forever love little flawless
Formation clouds in the blue sky
Look closely, you can try
On this earth I shall not dwell
Nor will I ever go to hell
Don’t burry me under ground
You need not be bound
Ashes scattered in the sea
Yes, indeed I was born free
Refuse to go six feet
Was ‘mos’ not born in the street
In the earth, forever frown
While tanning golden brown
In tears you must not drown
My own, don’t let me down
I want to wear my water crown
Please don’t you ever weep
Our sweet stories forever keep
Understand it hurts so deep
Short visits in your sleep
In the shade of a willow tree
That’s exactly where I’ll be
If you really care for me
You would just let me be
