Friends

Life is a journey of all the unknown
With all the ups and downs that get thrown
But one way or the other we get through it
Then pick up the pieces bit by bit
Till the past becomes a memory that fades into the night
With a new awakening as we wake up to the light
With lessons that are learnt along the way
Plus strong bonds that are formed there to stay
By kindness and understanding with others in life
We can help each other during the strife
And as we gather our strength over time
We can reach the point once we cross the line
That we can look back with such joy and pride
At the most precious of things along the ride
The friendships that were made and could never be bought
No matter how far on this earth that you went and sought
