For A Night

Wear my happy tears on your pulse points
Submerge me into your youth fountain
I just want to be wild for you tonight
I want to scream into the void with you
Knees sinking into a black comforter
Anoint my third eye with ylang-ylang
As wisps of lemongrass take me to summer
Drift away on moon kissed cloud shapes
Touch me with only your soft exhales
Draw your favorite flower on my back
And I'll describe to you my own heaven
Candles flickering as you glare
Trying to decipher whether I am to be
Considered sweet or if I am savory
And I'll hold tight onto the moment
Laughing and mental photographing
Because once sun breaks the horizon
I'll leave and never come back again
Because absence makes the heart grow

About this poem

This is about wanting to have one perfect moment with someone, and keeping it perfect by not stretching it out, and possibly ruining it.
