Do you believe in Soulmates?
Do I think soulmates exist? I think they exist. Just not in the way most people think, you know? Most people think that soulmates are this one in a lifetime thing. Something that can only happen when you get to a certain point in your life, something that will never happen again. But I think that it’s something more than that, I think a soulmate can be anything or anyone that makes you feel something. That feeling of love, and safeness, you know what I mean? Because some people think that once they “lose” their soulmate, they’ll never find another one, but maybe a soulmate is that person you come home and cry to after a long day at work. Maybe a soulmate is your pet or favorite stuffed animal that you hold when you need reassurance, or maybe a soulmate is that person who makes you laugh, even at your lowest and will come over in the darkest rooms of the night. When the streetlights are buzzing and the only sound able to be heard is the wind knocking on the windows. And maybe just maybe a soulmate is you, maybe you are the soulmate. Have you ever thought that maybe someone is thinking of you, in the darkest of the night? In the earliest of the dawn, realizing that you’re their soulmate? Realizing that you’re their reason they come to work, to school, that they go to bed, or even wake up? But do I think soulmates exist? It’s a very hard question to answer, it’s never a one question thing. And maybe the people are right, maybe it is a “finding your way to the answer” kind of deal. So maybe I don’t think soulmates exist, maybe I don’t even know what a soulmate is. Yet, as of right now this may be a thought that my mind anticipates as the years go on, I in this day and age do believe in soulmates.
