Is It Okay To Have It One Way

Is it okay to have it one way?

We live in times many find okay,
To say things made up...
Untrue to have others believe.
Then become offended,
When lies are told on those accused...
Of a doing something done,
By the ones who habitually deceive.

And then hear it said,
There is no need to try to control...
What others say and to whom they choose.
By the very same people,
Who are church going hypocrites...
Telling lies to have believed.
But this should not upset,
The ones affected and expected to confess...
Of something they had nothing to do with.

'I was once told while attending church,
How I stole my father's car when in my youth.
And, my sister and I went for a joy ride.
Until the police were called,
By someone who reported it.
And my sister and I were taken back home.
To be punished by my father.
Not only did that not happen.
But my father did not have a car,
I had stolen to drive at all.'

'You are kidding?
Who would say you did something like that?
Then to have it believed in church?'

'I was told that by a deacon's wife.
Who went on to tell me,
Other lies she was told by someone I know...
That tells to have believe,
Incredible lies to fiction them lived.
And I am told,
By those I don't know...
Who it is I am to be.'

'Only a demon would do something like that.'

'And that is why in some places,
It is easier to find a church and a liquor store.
Than it is to believe anything heard to hear,
To repeat even from a minister...
Preaching to a congregation a truth,
Everyone will claim to know about.
By the saying of 'Amen'.
But, for whatever the reason,
Leave their churches to do a devilment done.'

'Would you stop exaggerating.'

'Am I?
About what?'

'Going to church!'
