Two Become One

From across the room,
Their eyes met.
They were falling in love
As the sun set.

Now they are complete;
Two halves of a whole.
Happiness for eternity
Two as one soul.

They will live out their days,
"Till death do us part,"
Each taking care
Of the other one's heart.
Through sickness and health,
In poverty and wealth.

A new life has begun,
Two become one.
