Love’s whisper of subtle longing
The need to be wanted
Appreciated
Needed
Embraced by the cloak of wanting
Understanding the need
Feeling the elusive
Light of love
Just out of my hungry grasp
As if it had wings
Reach

But no one’s there
To care
Love’s despair
