Pointless Is Sense To Make

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Pointless is sense attempted to make,
These days when the absence of it...
Has seemed to have achieved,
Popularity.
Although...
Being direct?
Has its possibilities.

'I don't believe this.
Not you again.
Are you following me?
I thought we had agreed,
You would keep your distance.'

Me?
Following you?
I here standing alone.
And minding my own business.
All I asked from my observation.
Had been your attraction,
Of making the same mistakes.
For no other purpose,
But to repeat over again.
Too obvious it was for me to miss.

'I remember you saying,
Something I either ignored or not notice...
Had been happening between us.
Now that we both are here,
Please tell me...
What that happening is?
That is suppose to be,
My opportunity to miss.
Gone to not recognize it?'

You and I are soul mates.
And meant to be together.
You know this.
I know this.
We both know this.

'Why?'

Why?
Because you refuse to listen.
And I refuse to accept,
Your willingness to pretend an ignorance.
Only God knows the why of everything.

'And...
You are attracted to that?'

Let me just say this.
No one have I ever met to say,
How much I annoyed you the way you said...
I had done a few days ago.
Would tell me to turn around and go away,
Done to examine me from head to toe.
To believe I would miss,
You licking your lips.
With your eyes fixed on mine.
Hoping I too had a gorgeous behind.
And...
To reappear.
Seeking to be annoyed again.
I'm the one who should be telling you,
To go away.
However...
So glad I am to have you stalking me.

'WHAT?
Behind?
Stalking you?'

I apologize.
I meant to say a gorgeous butt!

'What do you take me for?'

That I don't know yet.
But I am hoping my attempt to make sense,
Isn't left to leave it pointless!

'I don't know what it is I should say.
I have never been approached,
In such a disgusting way.'

Now?
Here?
Or where I live?
