Forgetting Me (TW for mention of su!c!de)

The me I once knew
Is gone,
Betrayed by the world,
So she left the earth
To take her place
In the sky.
The me I once knew
Is empty,
For others stole her heart
And gave it back
With pieces missing
And showing the darkness
That was left.
The me I once knew
Is a shadow;
The light within her vanished
As soon as she began
To grow up
At an age too young.
The me I once knew
Is dying;
She loved
To live before,
But now all she
Wants to do
Is pull the trigger,
Swallow the pills,
And leave the ruins
Of this broken,
Ugly planet.
The me I once knew
Is forgotten,
A lonely soul begging for
Just a little bit
Of hope
To carry her through
The night,
But no one
Remembers her anymore,
Not even me.
