Tired

James Mackey 2004 (New Providence)

Sorry I don't want to be alone again,
So I may have to be selfish and leave you by yourself my friend;
I know I may seem strong but I'm not,
I try to put on a smile but I just can't stop these thoughts;
It's like I'm always there for someone but I have to suffer by myself,
I constantly look through the rain but could never find help;
I really don't want to be sad anymore,
I'm tired of hoping for sunny days when I constantly see the rain pour;
Finally I can escape this harsh place called earth,
But even when I'm gone remember your worth;
I'm sorry for taking up your time talking about my pain,
And about the thoughts that run through my brain;
I want to die but deep down I'm scared;
Should I end it all or endure this pain instead?

About this poem

Wrote this after graduation because I was emotionally unstable at the time. I'm alright now.
