The Return Of Annabel Lee

She has glamorous eyes, such wonderful eyes
An envelope laying right on my side.
The name “Annabel Lee” written madly on the paper
I feel like I might want to turn into vapor.

My chamber starts to shatter
Pieces start to flatter.
Forgotten into matter.

My depth in my heart
The angels start to part
The death of Annabel Lee
Such an awful tragedy.

“Oh why, My Annabel Lee!”
I cried dreadfully.
“Oh why, My Annabel Lee!”

The words going in and out of my ears
It makes me want to tear.
“Oh not, my wife, my life, my dear!”

The loneliness is such a horror scene
Alone without my Annabel Lee.

It's a demon inside me attacking and firing at my Annabel Lee
What a scene.
Watching my Annabel Lee suffer is tormenting me.

About this poem

This poem is about Edgar Allan Poe's dead wife that died from tuberculosis. I did this for school, but I would like to show my creative and hard-working poem skills.
