Peace

There comes a day, at summer's full
Just for me
I had only imagined such things
Were reserved for the saints
The flowers blow in the wind
As the solstice has passed
Making the world new
Not a word can be heard
The joy rises in my soul
I close my eyes
The wind runs through my hair
With the most gentle touch
The sune warms my face
The grass tickles my legs
I could take flight
 Just like the singing birds

About this poem

Standing in the middle of a field, no one around. No sounds but the melody of the earth.
