Magic Died

No matter how hard she seemed to try
the magical days just passed on by

Days with emotions and pain felt nights
slowly took hold and turned out the lights

She hoped for magic but it just wasn’t there
she withdrew her senses and learnt not to care

Days turned to weeks and weeks into years
she tuned herself out and held back the tears

If only she knew she’d be alright
if there was a way for spark to ignite

The daily grind left no thoughts in her head
she was numb to the world her magic was dead.
