I Had A Dream Last Night

It was late night, If I'm not wrong,
The warmth and comfort of the blanket made me forget all my pain.
I was having sweet dream with a melodious song.

It was the late night, yes I'm sure,
I saw her standing close to me,
I looked into her eyes for a while,
She's looking gentle, yet ferocious,
scarred but strong.
I felt If love were to have a face it would be hers.

It's that look in her eyes,
It's a smile on her face,
It's the memories of her,
That make any grey sky turn blue.

Are we destined to end up together ?
A silent moment then she gave me a hug with warm wraparound arms,
A hug cosy, cuddly, calm
A hug like a grizzly bear
A hug tender and tight day or night.

The moment I heard, We have each other and everything else is just background noise.
With tears in my eyes I held her in my arms. It seems a future lost, one without her.
I could feel her heartbeat and I wanted this moment to freeze.

No I don't want to wake up, Not now !
A dream that I never want to let go of,
It's you, I want to spend eternity with but your love, it's only a dream.

Yet If hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
Everything I've seen or seemed
Was but a dream within a dream.
