The Sacred Space

The sacredness of Now
Gets buried in our day
As the mundane moments gather
Forcing meaning to delay.

Distractions are the drivers
The taskmasters of time
Crowding out our quiet moments
In pursuit of what is “mine”.

The ego is relentless
In defending what it needs.
Spinning dramas, pain and traumas
Into fear on which it feeds.

Amidst this earthly struggle
Lies a sweet and simple Grace:
In a moment’s breath step out of time
Into the Sacred Space.

A silent circle’s safety
Surrounds you there in ease.
Reflecting back the beauty
Of your Spirit’s inner peace.
