Seldom Loved To Enjoy

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

A lieing to deceive ultimately achieves what?
And for who to prove continues?
Only those exposing their own guilt,
Begin to show their mental afflictions.
With an ability to self inflicted,
An ownership that is observed suffering...
From ignorance.
Leaving the ones intended to be victims,
Left seen unphased and happier than ever!

'I wonder what they know.'

'You wonder what who knows?'

'Them. Those folks over there.
They seem to be so happy.
No one is that happy all the time.'

'Maybe they have found something,
You seem unable to find for yourself.'

'Oh yeah?
Like what?'

'How wonderful life to live can be,
When discovering...
Minding one's own business,
Is less stressful than wondering why others...
Are happy keeping their noses to themselves.'

'I suppose you are talking about me?'

'And if I was,
Would that change to make a difference...
In what you love and enjoy doing most?'

'I object.
There are other things I do.'

'But...
Seldom,
As much loved to enjoy.'

'I enjoy being annoyed by you.'

'Don't flatter yourself.
That...
We do not have in common.'

'Oh, is that right?
And...
Wherever my nose goes where is yours?'
