Acid attack

Was he
The cunning bast…
Impotent
To  win
My heart… burnt
My face,  its reflection.
It was misery, it was terrible
It was every bit
One could feel.

But  once
I recovered
Still it’s beautiful
Than his damned soul
Rotting in hell

Father, brothers, uncles
Friends, cousins, sisters
All genders, all genres
All sons of mothers,
No thanks!
I don’t take pity.
Keep it with you
For, you’ll need it
For yourself
Once I lift
This veil on face

Got to be fair, he
Threw acid only once
Your eyes and words
Do it always.
Reflect your thoughts
In my face!
Still it’s beautiful
Than your hearts!
I learnt to get back
Myself from you
When you can live with
Your heartless shapes,
Why can’t I
With a shapeless face?
For, it’s much more beautiful
Than your lives!

Still I put veil
Back on face
For I take pity on
Your gutless stares
