Free verse
If I could, again see through the eyes of a child
What would it be, that I truly see?
This age of innocence
Forever and lost?
These vibrant colors
Of a waking dream?
These wisened thoughts
Bought with despair?

In the mind of a child
All these things pure
The steadfast gaze
Of a child so righteous
The brightness of color
Everything so new
These things created
So perfect, so fresh
If again to see
Through the eyes of a child
These are the things
Truly, I would see
