Kenneth Maese 1966 (NM)

Narrative
The room swirls in a flash of colors
breaths come slowly and unsure
a wall that holds steady
keeps from crashing to the floor

At night wrapped in the dark
thoughts flit at different levels
of light and darkness
embracing or brushing away

Overthinking has become a way of life
acceptance is increasing
process what and where and when
the sun comes wearily but faithfully

About this poem

A day in my life without being too obtrusive at least I tried not to be. I probably just ended up being pretentious.
