Dear Steph

Its almost like
I could give anything like that again
Those four months in September

Iam starting
coming back
Its ok I understand

Still Cherished
Truly loved
wasnt it all brand new and safe

No one had made mistakes
It was exciting
The world didnt matter to us

A gorgeous day too perfect
as you hugged me looked into my eyes
we prepared to kiss
you said you loved me

Just memories now
Like a dream
Not possible

About this poem

Kind of "Found Poetry" mixed with "Cut-Up" I had made a card for someone using a break-up letter I wrote, by cutting up sentences randomly. Months later I was looking at it and thought maybe it might work as a poem.
