Trying to understand

Something is wrong with Rosie;
She won't come out of her room.

And her teacher called today saying
She's  not socializing or following the rules.

I am Rosie, I don't know what's wrong.
I know my teacher called Mommy on her cell phone.

I hear and see things on television that I don't understand.  I ask questions about why people are running up and down the streets and Mother's carrying babies while holding another  young childs hand.

I'm scared and feel so alone,
I stay in my room afraid of losing my home.

I hear Mommy and Daddy praying every night, asking Jesus what they can do to change the world and make it right.

I shut my bedroom door quietly  and I kneel by my bed and pray.
I ask Jesus if there is anything  I could do to make our world a better place.

I hear Rosie praying in her room. She's crying and said that she's scared and confused.
I think its time that we talk to her and share with her whats being said on the news.

Mommy and Daddy said they were sorry and they would try to help me understand how this world got into the shape that it's in.

They explained to me that war was because countries could not agree and that we needed to pray that the war would end so the countries could live in peace.
