bloodied body

My blood drips
Onto a towel
Which sits next to my wounded thigh

The blood should run down my body
As it would be so pretty
Maybe then id know
What is wrong with my head

My bloodied body
Sits on the floor
Wanting to bleed more and more
But my mind tells me to stop
Don't let another drip of blood drop
But i cant help the instinct to hate
Any part of me not made red

the poem was made as a vent about self harm and the author's expirience with such things.
