In My Dreams

Taylor Miller 2005 (Andover)

In my dreams, you cross my mind
You dance alive while the fire burned
We danced all night
Til the fire died
In my dreams, you cross my mind

I woke up with the moon in my eyes
The smell of oak across my mind
Walking round' and round'
Nowhere to be found
In my dreams, you cross my mind

I felt the burn go through my heart
You're nowhere found patching up the scars
You don't care
Never searched for me there
In my dreams, you cross my mind

About this poem

This poem is about having a crush on someone you talk to, or even getting over a breakup. It's about still obsessing over someone and not getting the attention back.
