I told you

Gerald Alan Carroll 1969 (California)

< I'll travel more then miles >

I told you
I loved you
in many ways
and over many days
and I love you
and sent
your flowers
as you waited
 in your condo
by the bay
I sent you candy
delicious and not nutritious
but I do have to say
they are tasty
and I heard you moved
after everything
was sent back
and I have to pray
that you and I will
find each other
 some other day
in The  Hospital I heard
you were fighting
 to live bravely
and you died
 in that terrible way
I am sending you
 (me) pretty soon
I am headed your way
I am now in The hospital
fighting cancer today
I am truly not
 fighting cancer
I am headed your way
to spend our
eternity together
I love you and pray
that I make it to you
my truth , my soul , my heart , my love
 is yours
earth is out
of my way ............
