Is that all?

Nivetha 2008 (Tamil Nadu)

What can a tree do more than just stand strong
and give you life when everything seems wrong

A silent tree who keeps me free from angst dusk till dawn,
heeds her leaves to let me speak my worries and where I went wrong

I hide behind her when the world does me wrong
but she lifts me up to where I belong

New faces praise or bow
Many faces come and go
but her leafy face is my best friend for she stands with me still and strong
And gives the best with her all and all

About this poem

Trees are worshiped as the mother of nature. They provide the earth and its beings with essentials. Their generosity is the only thing that lets us all live. But, what can a tree do more than just stand strong and give you life when everything seems wrong?
