Lost

Times have changed, and now I'm lost,
With the ways you've altered,
That smile has fallen,
Your eyes have lost their zeal,
And I've got nothing to feel,
No love, not even hate,
Just a face caught in its purgatory,
Coldly smiling, covering the scars,
The scars that pile on,
With no release from its torment,
As it clearly shows itself to me,
Though the sorrow is trying to hide,
So you can carry that pile even more,
Draining you down, with your essence now gone,
Losing what is truly real,
Diving into a black abyss,
An abyss I'll never know,
Because my all will be in vain,
No matter what I'll do,
I can only burn the page and turn to a new chapter.
