Drugs
Michael B. Williams 1985 (New York)
Drugs feel so good they always make you feel better
Make the sun come out in the stormiest weather
Helps you forget things you don't want to remember
Got me up in the clouds i could stay here forever
But then i come down and see no ones around
Suffocating with pain i feel like I'm gonna drown
I'm screaming for help but i don't hear a sound
A lost soul in this world when will i be found
So many ups and downs I'm soul searching
Dated so many woman i was soul surfing
Could never settle down because my souls hurting
Never found success i was fighting the old version
Of myself yeah i got skeletons up on my shelf
Pain that i feel i don't think has been felt
The cards that i have i don't think they've been dealt
A gift with the words that will make your heart melt
Lost in a world full of hatred and greed
If they're making money they'll just watch you bleed
So let me bleed out when I die I'll be free
Cause when I was alive I never got to be me
Who you see is who I'm not split personality
Took a couple pills I'm losing my gravity
The thoughts in my head the pain from casualties
If i died today would Jesus still carry me
Addiction to prescriptions laws from politicians
Wild dreams with crazy visions i call them premonitions
People never listened told me i was tripping
My life I'm reminiscing never saw what i was missing
But now I'm dead on my way through the clouds
On the way up i was smoking the loud
I'm gonna see father and I hope that he's proud
He knew I was lost one day I'd be found
