Mama, I Love You

If I had only one word to say
It is Comfort, your gift, your name
This you give me each day
Then, now, after, surely the same.

If I had one thought to think
It is that you’ve championed motherhood
And if our minds were in sync
My thoughts will surely say you’re good.

If I had only one thing to do
It is to say “thank you” more
For all I saw, the unseen too
Spewing thanks from my core.

If I had one emotion to feel
It is one unspoken yet so true
This I feel in your every meal
This I feel: “Mama, I love you.”
