Unseen

Can’t you see that I’m only pretending?
To wake up in the morning with a bright smile on my face
Can’t you see that I’m trying?
To hide and cover these bad memories that made the base
Can’t you see, I’m hoping
To have even a slightly less horrible day
Or just a one where my trouble are kept at bay

Can’t you see, that I’m jealous
Of that one girl who so effortlessly would make everyone’s heart flutter
Can’t you see, I’m desperate
For a glance from that ignorant boy that make me feel valid
Can’t you see, that I’m looking forward
To meet that special someone who likes to care
Showers me with love and my tired soul will bare

Can’t you see, I want to be better
I want to be worth the things I receive
Can’t you see that I have realized
By trial that the picture perfect life is all to deceive
Can’t you see, the anger, the frustration
The intensity of my isolated breakdown
Trying to carry myself without a frown

Can’t you see, I’m waiting
For someone to understand what all my thoughts are about
Can’t you see, I’m drowning
Trying to hold onto anything until I find my way out
Can’t you see the wiped away tears?
Can’t you hear my silent cries?
Or will you ignore me until the light in me dies
