Outside I see

Outside I see
Where I want to be
I see what I had for times
Although it no longer shines

What once was has changed
Hugs we can no longer exchange
I miss seeing the ones I love
Not visiting is tough

Not everything is bad
I am no longer mad
New things I have learned
Working towards what I have yearned

I root the day I go outside
Having everyone I love by my side
Although a mask we must use
My heart will be playing melodies like a muse

Outside I see
Where I want to be
The time has now passed
But how I wish it were like the past
