Silenced by the Rules of Society

I feel like I am silently screaming,
Trapped in the darkest corner of the smallest room in my mind,
Covered in the scrawling's of my dark life.

I want to scream out,
Let it out but will I be heard?

Probably not,
I've been silenced,
Silenced by the rules of society.

I wonder how long this society has been this harsh,
Why we are seen as almost demigods?
Just for standing out for being different,
Standing up for being different.

Is this what makes us such a target?
A target for our society,
Our society has been doped up and dumbed down by the media of
Television.

What they don't seem to grasp is,
The fact that we are,

Very much alive.
