You win

Elle burkhart 2006 (Tennessee)

Even when I felt like dying
You made me feel the most alive
Even when I wanted to give up you showed me who i truly
Was
Beyond all the sadness, hurt, trauma, pain, and even all the suffering
You showed me I am human
And me feeling doesn't exclude me from everyone else
But shows how I'm just like everyone else
And that even with all I've been through I deserved love
And then the person I would give the world
Took it away from me
And showed me all their hope for me was what they used against me,
I thought you made me free
But in all reality
I was better off being locked down
I thought the best of you and that's how you hurt me
You got me to show you myself in a valuable state and that's when
You attacked
Funny huh
How love makes you see all the good
That you completely overlook the flaws
I let you see that part of only for you to lie to me
And guess what I got out of it
Nothing but having to return to the person i was when we met
Sad, hurt,in pain, and suffering all over again
And yet I still wonder how you've been
You win
