ONE DAY
Khyati Chauhan 2001 (Delhi)
All this time, all this time,
The little princess was feeding on a lie,
They said, wait up here, up in the castle's paradise,
Your prince will come one day, you'll shine.
Spring came, the princess couldn't control her fain,
Waiting for the prince, dreaming of her reign.
Summer came, the princess kept waiting in her cave,
Knowing the sun will shine in her life once her prince arrives.
Autumn came, there was a wavering in her faith,
Will the prince really come as they saith?
Winter came, cold creeping in her vein,
And then she was done waiting in the den.
It was then the princess realized,
That all this was just a lie.
It was her who she had to tame,
It was her who would bring the change.
She fought with the dragon of her psych,
She brought the change in her life.
When she was in that state of mind,
That is when her prince also arrived.
